その前に、ぜひ押さえておいて欲しいのがVShojo自体のメンバーについてだ。英語圏で熱狂的なファンを抱えているというのは、先日のAnime Expo会場のレポートでも伝わったはず（下記リンク参照）。今回、一部メンバーにメールでインタビューする機会を得たので、バックグラウンドや人となりをお伝えしていこう。

今回はNyanners（ニャンナーズ）さんをチョイス！
フルネームは、Nyatasha Nyanners。カオスな配信と破天荒な言動で注目を集め、執筆時点で143万人とYouTube登録者数を大きく増やしている（100万人達成時のニュース）。代表作はDoja Cat の「Say So」の替え歌カバーである「SEISO」で、すでに1000万再生超えを達成している。また、2021年にキズナアイさんが北米ツアーを行った際に、ゲスト出演したことも大いに話題になった。

「VTuberとして成長できたし、多くの友達に出会えた」
──VTuberとしてデビューした当時の気持ちを思い出して教えてください。
Nyanners 私は音楽を作ったり、人を笑わせたり、友人をつくるために2年前にVTuberになったの。私はとても恥ずかしがり屋でうまく自分のことを他人に伝えることができなかったんだけど、VTuberとしてなら自分自身を恥ずかしがらずに表現して、人にもっと声掛けとかができると思ったから。
デビューしたてのときは新しい世界の扉が開いたって感じで無限大な可能性が広がっていたけど、その反面私の知らないコミュニティーに飛び込んでいくのは不安もあったのよね。
──その当時と比べて今は何か変わった？
Nyanners 現在は2年前と比べるとVTuberとして成長したと思うし、友と呼べる人達にもたくさん出会えた。VTuberとして色々な人と一緒に配信したり、コラボしたり、色々なイベントに参加したりと大切な思い出を多くつくれたの。
──生身のストリーマーではなく、VTuberだからこそ実現できたことってありますか？
Nyanners 3Dコンサートに参加できたことかな。VTuberとして活動してきて一番思い出深い経験のひとつだと思う！
──今後はどんなジャンルに挑戦したい？
Nyanners 人を怖がらせるのって楽しいから、もっとホラーをテーマとしたコンテンツをつくりたい！
──アニメや漫画、ゲームなどで、日本のコンテンツで好きなものを教えてください。
Nyanners 私の一番好きなアニメはとらドラ！で、ゲームの中だとファイナルファンタジーシリーズが一番好き。
──上で挙げたもののうち、一番好きな作品について語ってください。
Nyanners 「ファイナルファンタジーX」がシリーズの中で一番好き。小さいころに初めてプレイして、作中のキャラみんな好きになって、感動なストーリーにも惚れたの。登場したキャラ皆が大きな家族みたいな感じでそれに影響を受けた。特にアーロンめちゃくちゃ格好よくて好き。
──尊敬しているVTuberは？ それはなぜ？
Nyanners Ironmouse（アイアンマウス）。だって彼女とても強くて、いつも一生懸命で多くの人達のインスピレーションになってるの。私もその一人。どんなに辛いことや試練を与えられても、夢を叶えられるって世界に証明したし、彼女の優しさと魅力的な性格で多くの人達を結び付けてきた。VTuber業界で彼女は重要な存在の一人だと思うし、みんなに愛されるべきだと思う。
──コラボしてみたいVTuberは？
Nyanners はあちゃま（赤井はあとさん）とコラボしたいな。彼女のユーモアと創造性豊かなセンスが大好きで、さらにめちゃくちゃ可愛いから。
──VShojoメンバーとして初の3Dライブをキズナアイのバーチャルツアーで実現しました。その時の心境を教えてください。
Nyanners まさかとても尊敬している、数多くのVTuberのインスピレーションの元となったレジェンドと一緒に同じステージに立ったことは未だに現実味を感じられないの。でもステージはとても楽しくて、このような機会を得られたことをとても光栄に思う！
──IronmouseやSnuffyと一緒にバーチャル日本旅行をしてましたが、いかがでしたか？
Nyanners とても楽しくて、もっとバーチャル旅行に行きたいと思った！ 日本のクリスマスイルミネーションを見ることができて、みんなと一緒に日本を会話を楽しみながら歩き回ってる感じがして楽しかった。
Can you recall when you first as a VTuber, and tell us how you felt?
Nyanners: I became a VTuber about 2 years ago because I wanted to make music, make people laugh and make friends, since I’m a shy person and I felt that through vtubing I could reach out to people a lot more easily and express myself better.
It was really exciting and it felt like a door opened to a whole new world of creative possibilities, but I was also pretty nervous since I was new to the community and didn’t know very many people.
What has changes since then?
Nyanners: Since then I have grown a lot as a VTuber and have met a lot of amazing people who I am lucky to call my friends, and have made lots of memories through my streams, collabs, and all the fun events I was able to do through Vtubing.
Was there something you were able to acomplish because you were a VTuber? (Instead of IRL Content Creator)
Nyanners: I was able to participate in 3D concerts and that was one of my favorite experiences!
What kind of genre of content would you like to tackle in the future?
Nyanners: I would love to do more horror-themed content, because scaring people sounds fun!
Please tell us what kind of Anime, Manga, or Game do you like from Japan?
Nyanners: My favorite anime of all time is Toradora, and I love the Final Fantasy series of games a lot.
Out of the answers you gave us from the previous question, please tell us in detail about a specific title about why you like it.
Nyanners: Final Fantasy 10 is my all time favorite game, I played it for the first time when I was little and I fell in love with all the characters and the extremely moving story. The characters are like a big family and they inspired me a lot, especially Auron who is super badass.
Which VTuber do you respect the most, and why?
Nyanners: Ironmouse, because she is incredibly strong and works so hard, she’s an inspiration to everyone, especially me. She has shown the world that anyone can make their dreams come true in the face of whatever they’re struggling with, and she’s brought so many people together with her kindness and magnetic personality. She is one of the most important VTubers and she deserves all the love.
Which VTuber do you want to collab with?
Nyanners: I would love to collab with Haachama, I love her sense of humor and creativity, and she’s very cute.
You were one of the first member to do a 3D live concert, which was during the Kizuna Ai Virtual World tour. How was that experience?
Nyanners: It was very surreal to share a stage with one of my biggest VTuber inspirations and someone who is such an iconic member of the community who I look up to immensely. I had a ton of fun and I’m very honored to have had the opportunity!
You went on a virtual Japan tour with Ironmouse and Snuffy, how was that exeprience?
Nyanners: It was super cool and I would love to do more virtual tours! We saw Christmas lights and a lot of interesting things, it felt like we were really all taking a walk together and enjoying the scenery.
